Truck Driver
Richlyn Custom HomesShortek Edmonton Inc. – Edmonton, Alberta Full-Time Shortek Edmonton Inc. is looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver to join our team. We are a busy shoring, piling, and construction company working on projects throughout Edmonton and the surrounding areas. This position involves transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies between our shop, yard, suppliers, and active construction sites. Responsibilities Operate company trucks safely and professionally Deliver and pick up construction materials and equipment from job sites Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely Complete daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns Ensure loads are properly secured and comply with transportation requirements Maintain accurate delivery, pickup, and load documentation Coordinate with our office, shop, and field crews regarding deliveries Assist with loading and unloading in the yard and at job sites Keep trucks clean and organized Follow Shortek safety policies and applicable Alberta transportation regulations Assist with general yard or shop duties when required Work outdoors and around active construction sites Qualifications Valid Alberta driver's licence appropriate for the vehicles being operated Clean or acceptable driver's abstract Previous commercial or construction-related driving experience preferred Experience hauling construction materials and equipment is an asset Knowledge of proper load securement is an asset Comfortable driving in Edmonton and surrounding areas Able to safely perform physical work associated with loading and unloading Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Good communication and organizational skills Safety-focused and professional when dealing with customers, suppliers, and job-site personnel Experience with flat decks, trailers, construction equipment, shoring materials, or oversized/heavy loads would be considered an asset.
