Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. You will operate a range of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in logistics cargo handling, route planning, and vehicle operation will keep our supply chain moving smoothly. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including manual transmission tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers for over-the-road (OTR) routes Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Ensure proper securing of freight during transit, including logistics cargo handling for various types of freight such as hazardous materials or temperature-sensitive goods Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route adjustments, or issues encountered on the road Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat) and tanker operations preferred Proven experience in commercial truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation with a focus on route driving Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, Hazardous Materials Regulations, and Hazardous Materials Transportation safety standards Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle truck loading/unloading procedures Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for long-distance OTR routes Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to driver hours of service and safety compliance Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks required for truck loading/unloading and cargo securing Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over the course of your career Embark on a rewarding journey where your driving expertise fuels our success!
