Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. In this vital role, you will operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods, including refrigerated cargo, hazardous materials, and specialty freight such as flatbed or tanker loads. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and excellent route management will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo safety during transit. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to optimize delivery routes and meet delivery schedules. Transport various types of freight including refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (hazmat), flatbed loads, or tanker shipments while adhering to hazardous materials regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to verify proper functioning and safety compliance. Manage documentation for load & unload processes, delivery logs, and cargo manifests accurately. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat) and tanker operations preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances. Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operation, truck loading/unloading procedures, and logistics cargo handling. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently; experience with tractor-trailers is essential. Strong manual handling skills for load & unload tasks; physical ability to lift heavy cargo when necessary. Excellent navigation skills using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning.
