Truck Driver

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport dump trailer from Montgomery, AL to Tuscaloosa,ALacross routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers. Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques while following proper safety procedures. Navigate routes effectively using GPS navigation tools to ensure timely deliveries across designated areas. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Maintain accurate ELD logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with regulatory standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after trips. Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding route progress, delays, or issues encountered during transit. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading. Ability to handle manual handling tasks related to logistics cargo handling safely and efficiently. Experience operating GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation. Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures for freight such as freight shipments or dangerous goods.
