We specialize in residential, commercial, and office moves, including numerous contracts with the State of Delaware. We are looking for a dependable, professional, and motivated driver who can take charge, lead a crew, and manage a moving job from start to finish. This is more than a driving position. We need someone who takes initiative, pays attention to detail, communicates well, and understands the importance of representing our company professionally. Flexible end times depending on the day's schedule The opportunity to join an established, family-owned company with over 30 years in business JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Driving & Job Management Safely operate company moving trucks to residential, commercial, and office locations. Take responsibility for each job from arrival through completion. Review and understand contracts, job instructions, and customer requirements. Ensure the work performed matches the agreed-upon services. Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and crew members. Represent the company professionally on all jobs, including state and government contracts. Leadership & Crew Management Lead and direct multiple crew members at one time. Clearly communicate instructions, delegate responsibilities, and keep the crew organized and productive. Take charge of each assignment and ensure work is completed efficiently and professionally. Set a positive example through reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic. Hold yourself and the crew accountable for quality work, safety, and proper handling of customer belongings. Make decisions independently, think on your feet, and resolve problems as they arise without constant supervision. Paperwork, Contracts & Inventories Complete all moving contracts, inventories, and required paperwork accurately. Maintain neat, legible handwriting and ensure documentation is complete. Read, understand, and follow contracts and job instructions. Pay close attention to details and ensure customer instructions are followed. Truck Cleanliness & Equipment Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the company truck, both inside and outside. Keep the truck organized and ensure moving equipment and supplies are properly stored. Take responsibility for the care and condition of the truck and equipment. Help ensure the truck is ready for the next assignment. Customer Service & Quality Control Ensure customer belongings are handled carefully and properly protected. Oversee safe loading, transportation, and unloading procedures. Maintain a professional attitude and provide dependable customer service. Keep the crew focused on completing each job safely and to the company's standards. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of being a leader. Candidates must have: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record, valid for minium of 2 years. A reliable way to get to work on time. Strong leadership and communication skills. The ability to confidently instruct and manage multiple crew members. The ability to read and understand contracts, instructions, and inventories. Clear, legible handwriting and strong attention to detail. Good judgment, independent thinking, and problem-solving skills.
