Truck Driver

Job Summary As a Truck Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably, connecting shipments with the people and businesses that need them. You’ll drive commercial trucks on local delivery routes and over-the-road (OTR) routes, use GPS navigation to plan trips, and handle cargo according to its type and transport requirements. Your impact: Safe, timely deliveries help customers receive their freight in good condition and keep supply chains moving. Duties Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, with manual transmissions; drive refrigerated trailers and, as assigned, flatbed or tanker vehicles. Complete route driving and delivery driving, following planned routes and using GPS navigation to adjust safely when needed. Load and unload freight, perform manual handling, and secure cargo for transport, including automobile transportation shipments. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and other dangerous goods only when authorized, following applicable handling and documentation procedures. Inspect vehicles and cargo, report issues, and follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. Qualifications Commercial truck driving and commercial driving experience; delivery driver experience is preferred. Ability to drive a tractor-trailer with a manual transmission and safely perform truck loading and unloading. Familiarity with freight, logistics cargo handling, route planning, and GPS navigation. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations; hazardous materials regulations experience or authorization is preferred. Experience with refrigerated trailers, automobile transportation, flatbed, or tanker loads is an asset. Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,000.00 per week Work Location: On the road
