Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for commercial truck driving, primarily over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. This role requires adherence to DOT regulations and a commitment to safety and professionalism. Previous experience with tractor trailers is essential, with a preference for candidates familiar with Amazon Relay. We are willing to provide training for qualified applicants eager to develop their driving skills in this specialized field. Responsibilities Operate commercial tractor trailers safely and efficiently on over-the-road routes. Transport goods over long distances, adhering to scheduled delivery timelines. Comply with all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards during every trip. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and delivery documentation as required by federal regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Ensure cargo is secured properly and handled with care throughout transportation. Follow company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and vehicle maintenance. Skills Minimum of two years’ experience operating tractor trailers in a commercial driving capacity. Prior experience with Amazon Relay is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to train suitable candidates is available. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, responsibility, and professionalism. Ability to manage long hours on the road while maintaining alertness and focus. Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatch teams and clients. Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential qualities for success in this role.
