Duties Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to transport goods over short and long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for operation Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to secure handling and proper documentation Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel usage and minimizing delays Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or maintenance needs Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries Follow all safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or damage during transit Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated Proven experience in driving heavy trucks safely in various conditions Ability to perform heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning techniques Excellent communication skills for clear interactions with team members and clients Physical stamina and flexibility to handle long hours on the road and manual tasks involved in loading/unloading A proactive attitude towards safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a difference!
