The Position Truck Driver Job Summary SUMMARY Drives truck with a capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. It is imperative that all interactions with Harborlite employees be conducted with professional, courteous, and respectful dialogue. It is imperative that all interactions with Customers shipping and receiving personnel be conducted with professional, courteous and respectful dialogue. Maintains a neat and clean appearance. Maintains a neat and clean delivery unit. Delivers materials to the customer in a safe and timely manner. Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits reports indicating truck condition. Maintains driver log according to state and federal regulations. Perform and/or acquire emergency roadside repair as necessary. Maintains communication link with supervisor. Returns all delivery paperwork to Customer Service with appropriate signatures and dates. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
