Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in handling different types of cargo, including refrigerated goods and hazardous materials, will be essential in maintaining our high standards of service and safety. Responsibilities Safely operate Box truck with local routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load, secure, and unload freight using manual handling techniques and appropriate equipment when necessary. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to plan optimal routes, avoiding delays and ensuring punctual deliveries. Transport various types of cargo such as, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or specialty freight. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips, reporting any maintenance issues promptly to ensure safety standards are maintained. Maintain accurate documentation for each shipment, including delivery logs, load manifests, and compliance records related to hazardous materials regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Requirements Standard driver’s license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading procedures. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and hazardous materials regulations related to the transportation of dangerous goods is a plus. Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment is preferred. Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during load & unload operations. Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for route planning on over-the-road routes.
