Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take on the exciting challenge of delivering freight across diverse routes while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. This role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, transporting goods over long distances and through complex logistics networks. As a vital link in our supply chain, you’ll play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction by delivering freight accurately and on time. Responsibilities Operate a range of commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across over-the-road (OTR) driving routes. Load and unload freight safely using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo handling for logistics cargo. Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and hazardous materials safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to verify mechanical condition, safety features, and load security. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shift reports, incident reports, and inbound/outbound documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery schedules, or issues encountered during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and automobile transportation is preferred. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures as well as logistics cargo handling techniques. Experience adhering to DOT regulations, FMCSA standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely. Prior experience with delivery driver roles involving load & unload responsibilities is highly valued. Strong understanding of GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient OTR routes.
