Position Summary The Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials, products, and supplies between Wolverine Coil Spring Company facilities, customers, suppliers, and service providers. This position supports production and customer requirements by ensuring accurate deliveries, maintaining company vehicles, and assisting with shipping, receiving, and material-handling activities as needed. Key Responsibilities · Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport materials, finished products, and supplies to designated locations. · Pick up and deliver materials according to scheduled routes and business requirements. · Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other approved material-handling equipment. · Verify shipment quantities and documentation before transporting materials. · Assist with packing, shipping, and receiving activities as workload and scheduling permit. · Inspect vehicles before and after operation and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. · Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe condition. · Ensure compliance with applicable transportation regulations and company policies. · Follow all company policies, procedures, work instructions, quality requirements, and safety standards. · Participate in departmental and company-wide continuous improvement initiatives. · Perform other reasonable duties as assigned based on business needs · Qualifications Education · High school diploma or GED required. Experience · Previous commercial driving experience preferred. · Experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred. · Forklift operation experience preferred Technical Knowledge · Valid Michigan CDL required. · Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions, shipping documents, and transportation paperwork. · Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. · Must successfully complete Wolverine Coil Spring forklift certification requirements. · Sound judgment and decision-making skills with a strong focus on safety. Physical & Work Environment · Work is performed in both manufacturing and transportation environments. · Regularly sits, drives, stands, walks, bends, and climbs in and out of vehicles. · Frequently loads, unloads, and moves materials using forklifts and material-handling equipment. · May be exposed to varying weather conditions during loading, unloading, and transportation activities. · Must follow all required PPE and safety requirements when operating within manufacturing facilities and customer locations.
