Duties Safely operate heavy-duty trucks to deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure optimal safety and functionality Load and unload cargo, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to secure handling and proper stacking Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery schedules, and documentation for each trip Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment during loading and unloading processes Assist with vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record Proven experience driving heavy trucks or similar large vehicles Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading/unloading tasks Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and route planning Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and service excellence Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and physical demands of loading/unloading cargo Flexibility to work varied shifts, including early mornings or weekends if needed Embark on a career that drives success!
