Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks over the road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely delivery of goods across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, adherence to transportation regulations, and excellent driving skills. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in maintaining the efficiency of our logistics operations and providing exceptional service to our clients. Responsibilities Operate heavy-duty trucks over long-distance routes, primarily over the road (OTR), adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while managing schedules effectively. Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper functioning. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and hours of service in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery statuses or any issues encountered during routes. Ensure cargo is secured properly and handle any necessary documentation related to shipments. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on the road. Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly to management. Skills Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating large trucks over long distances, especially OTR routes. Strong knowledge of transportation laws, safety regulations, and best practices for long-haul driving. Excellent navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes. Good communication skills for effective coordination with dispatchers and clients. Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Dependable, responsible, with a strong focus on safety and punctuality. Physical stamina and mental alertness required for extended periods on the road.
