Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for commercial truck driving, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods. This role requires operating large vehicles, including those that require a TWIC card for port terminal access, to facilitate efficient logistics operations. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in maintaining the flow of goods and supporting our company's transportation needs. Duties Operate commercial trucks to transport goods to various destinations, including port terminals requiring TWIC card credentials. Ensure all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery documentation. Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit. Handle cargo securely to prevent damage during transportation. Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle operated. Possession of a TWIC card or ability to obtain one for port terminal access. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, preferably with experience in port or terminal deliveries. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for safe driving. Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with route planning. Ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Good communication skills and ability to work independently. Physical ability to handle cargo loading/unloading tasks as needed.
