Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety compliance. Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized delivery routes while maintaining punctuality. Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and hazardous materials regulations. Comply with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and other applicable safety standards during all phases of driving and cargo handling. Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and documentation to ensure truck safety and operational readiness. Load & unload freight efficiently at various delivery points, managing logistics cargo handling with precision. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving across long distances. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods transportation. Experience with manual transmission trucks preferred; ability to handle manual handling tasks safely. Strong GPS navigation skills for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries. Excellent driving record demonstrating safe operation of commercial vehicles on OTR routes. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety standards; experience with logistics cargo handling is a plus.
