Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics operation! In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, utilizing refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or tractor-trailers. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and commitment to timely deliveries will ensure our customers receive their goods efficiently and securely. Seeking Class A driver with 9 months or more tractor trailer experience within the past 12 months to haul intermodal freight within 50 miles. Driver operates locally no holiday work and weekends are required. Hauling containers. Day and Night position positions. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers and specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across regional or national destinations. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securement for transportation of hazardous materials or dangerous goods when required. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route adjustments, delivery schedules, or unforeseen delays. Ensure compliance with hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods, including proper documentation and handling procedures. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery, route driving, or automobile transportation. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks and handle various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, or tankers. Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures for safe truck loading and unloading. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for efficient delivery execution. Experience adhering to DOT regulations and FMCSA standards for safety and compliance in trucking operations. Prior delivery driver experience involving freight movement across multiple locations is highly desirable. Certification or training related to hazmat transportation or hazardous materials regulations is a plus.
