Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in Radford, VA. The Truck Driver will operate commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently, following assigned routes and delivery schedules. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting trucks and equipment before and after trips, securing loads, and performing basic preventive checks to ensure safe operation. The role involves loading and unloading freight as needed, maintaining accurate logs and delivery documentation, and adhering to all DOT regulations and company safety policies. The Truck Driver will also communicate with dispatch, respond to schedule changes, and represent the company professionally at customer locations. Qualifications Commercial driving skills, including CDL Class A and Truck Driving experience. Ability to manage loading and Unloading tasks safely and efficiently. Knowledge of DOT Regulations and compliance with safety standards. Clean driving record and ability to pass required background checks and drug screenings. Strong time management, route planning, and basic paperwork/logbook skills. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs. Good communication skills and professional interaction with dispatch, customers, and team members. Physical ability to handle freight and work in varying weather and road conditions. Previous experience in regional or long-haul trucking is beneficial.
