The role is based in Montreal, QC, with some tasks that can be completed from home, such as planning routes, managing paperwork, and communicating with clients. Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Truck Driver role based in Montreal, QC, with a mix of on-the-road work and limited work-from-home tasks such as scheduling, documentation, and client communication. The Truck Driver is responsible for operating a commercial vehicle safely, transporting goods to designated locations, and loading or unloading cargo as required. Daily activities include planning routes, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complying with DOT and local regulations, and maintaining accurate logs and delivery records. The driver will coordinate directly with clients or dispatch, manage basic vehicle upkeep, and ensure that all deliveries are completed on time while maintaining high safety standards. Remote work aspects may involve organizing delivery schedules, handling digital documentation, and managing communication with customers and partners. Qualifications Commercial driving expertise, including CDL Class A and proven Truck Driving experience. Hands-on operational skills related to Truck operation, including safe loading and Unloading of cargo. Strong knowledge of DOT Regulations and applicable provincial and federal transportation laws. Clean driving record, strong safety awareness, and ability to perform vehicle inspections and basic maintenance. Reliable time management skills with the ability to plan routes and meet delivery deadlines. Ability to work independently, manage self-employment responsibilities, and maintain professional client relationships. Basic digital literacy for managing electronic logs, communication tools, and route-planning software. Physical ability to handle manual tasks associated with loading/unloading and long hours on the road. High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in commercial trucking or logistics is an asset.
