As a key player in our logistics operations, you'll navigate over-the-road (OTR) routes, manage hazardous materials when required, and uphold the highest standards of driving excellence. Your expertise will keep our supply chain moving smoothly, supporting our commitment to exceptional service. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across designated OTR routes Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo integrity and safety during transit Transport hazardous materials or dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols Manage logistics cargo handling by securing loads properly and verifying shipment accuracy before departure and upon arrival Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly to maintain optimal truck performance Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance documentation as required by federal regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route adjustments or address delivery issues promptly Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations, flatbed hauling, tanker transport or automobile transportation is preferred Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Hands-on experience with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading procedures Demonstrated ability to handle logistics cargo securely while adhering to safety protocols for hazardous or dangerous goods Previous experience working on over-the-road (OTR) routes or long-haul trucking is highly desirable Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle type being operated Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a real impact!
