Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Use GPS navigation systems to follow optimized delivery routes and ensure timely arrivals at designated destinations Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before departure and after arrival Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes, delivery status, or any incidents during transit Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, including load securement, truck loading/unloading procedures, and safety protocols Qualifications Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or other specialized loads as applicable Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various vehicle types such as tractor-trailers or refrigerated trucks Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient logistics cargo handling Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for truck loading/unloading Ability to handle manual transmission trucks and perform manual handling tasks safely during freight loading/unloading processes Experience with refrigerated trailers or specialized equipment like flatbeds or tankers is preferred Strong commitment to safety standards, punctuality, and customer service excellence Embark on a rewarding career that keeps you moving forward!
