Truck Driver – Local Deliveries & Warehouse Support (Class B CDL) Location: Orlando, FL Area Schedule: Day Shift, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for Overtime) Position Summary We are a growing manufacturing company expanding our operations with a distribution center in the Orlando, Florida area. We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Truck Driver with a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and forklift experience to support local deliveries and daily distribution center operations. This position is responsible for safely operating a company-owned 26-foot box truck equipped with a Conestoga covering system to transport products to local customers. Deliveries are generally completed within the same workday. A significant portion of this role will involve warehouse support, material handling, loading and unloading products, forklift operation, and maintaining an organized and clean distribution center when deliveries are not scheduled. The ideal candidate is a flexible, hands-on team player who enjoys a combination of driving and warehouse work, prioritizes safety, and takes pride in accurate deliveries and professional customer service. The regular work schedule is 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with flexibility required as business needs evolve. Key Responsibilities Local Deliveries and Transportation Safely operate a company-owned 26-foot box truck equipped with a Conestoga covering system to deliver products to customers throughout the area. Coordinate with the Distribution Center Supervisor to ensure products are loaded accurately and delivered according to customer requirements. Plan efficient routes and meet scheduled delivery times. Verify product quantities, inspect cargo for damage, and ensure loads are properly balanced and secured. Properly operate and secure the Conestoga covering system in accordance with training and safety procedures. Complete delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and other required transportation records. Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report mechanical issues, defects, accidents, or violations. Maintain required driving logs and comply with applicable federal and state transportation regulations. Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures. Perform routine vehicle upkeep, including refueling and cleaning. Warehouse and Distribution Center Support Assist with daily warehouse operations whenever deliveries are not scheduled. Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other appropriate material-handling equipment. Move, stage, organize, and prepare products for shipment and customer delivery. Verify products and quantities to ensure orders are accurate and ready for distribution. Assist with receiving, handling, and organizing inventory as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and distribution center. Assist with general facility upkeep and other labor-related tasks as assigned. Support the Distribution Center Supervisor and team members to ensure efficient daily operations. Valid, current Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required. 3–5 years of truck driving experience preferred. Previous forklift operating experience required. Experience operating a 26-foot box truck preferred. At least 21 years of age. Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, cargo securement, and material-handling practices. Ability to learn and safely operate the truck's Conestoga covering system. Ability to safely perform warehouse duties and physical tasks associated with loading, unloading, and moving products, with or without reasonable accommodation.
