We specialize strictly in intermodal drayage, moving ocean and rail containers in and out of major port terminals (such as Bayport and Barbours Cut) and regional rail yards (BNSF and UP). All routes operate strictly within a 400-mile local and regional radius , ensuring you get high earning potential while being home daily—no OTR . Duties Terminal & Port Operations: Safely haul intermodal container chassis in and out of local port terminals (e.g., Bayport, Barbours Cut, CPA) and rail yards (BNSF, UP) adhering to specific gate hours and facility safety rules. Local & Regional Route Navigation: Transport drayage containers efficiently across local and regional destinations within a 400-mile radius, staying home daily. Container & Equipment Inspection: Perform mandatory pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip safety inspections on tractors, intermodal chassis, and container twist-locks to verify roadworthiness. Regulatory Compliance: Maintain full compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and port authority regulations, including proper TWIC usage and FMCSA Clearinghouse monitoring. Intermodal Logistics Documentation: Manage interchange receipts (EIR/J1), verify container seal numbers, update dispatch via GPS/mobile systems, and track wait times or detention accurately. Cargo Security: Ensure intermodal container loads are properly locked, balanced, and secured to chassis frames prior to departure from terminals. Requirements Licensing & Experience: Valid Class A CDL with at least 2+ years of verifiable commercial driving experience. Port Drayage Experience: Verifiable experience navigating port container terminals and rail ramps. Mandatory Credentials: Valid TWIC Card , valid Medical Card, Social Security Card, and a clean FMCSA Clearinghouse record. Safety Record: Clean driving record (MVR) free of major violations. Owner Operator Truck Specifications (if applying as O/O): Must own a reliable semi-truck with Combination Plates (No paper plates). Active Bobtail / Non-Trucking / Physical Damage insurance coverage. Driver Requirements (if applying as Driver Only): Contract position operating under a 50/50 split.
