Duties Safely operate 26' commercial truck in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques while adhering to safety protocols Transport various types palletized freight Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations Conduct routine inspections of trucks to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving across long distances Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling Proficiency in operating GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning Familiarity with FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, and safety standards for truck driving Ability to handle manual handling tasks related to logistics cargo handling safely and efficiently Excellent driving record with experience.
