Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Truck Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Seeking Class A Driver with 6 months or more tractor trailer experience to haul coils in dry van trailers. This position requires drivers to nail wood to tractor floors to secure coils. Same dedicated route daily. West Hartford, CT to Philadelphia, Pa and back. Monday - Friday 1:30pm to 2:30 am Home daily. Compensation package cpm and hourly pay Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on long-distance and local delivery routes. Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques and proper equipment, ensuring cargo integrity and safety. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing travel time. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, and hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials. Manage the transportation of automobile parts or vehicles via specialized equipment such as car carriers or flatbeds. Perform pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance checks on trucks to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance. Document delivery details accurately, including load & unload records, route logs, and incident reports as required by company policies. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight transportation across diverse routes. Strong knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including logistics cargo handling. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tanker trucks, and tractor-trailers. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and handle manual handling tasks safely. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation tools to ensure timely deliveries across OTR routes. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and dangerous goods handling standards. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in delivery driving preferred. Ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while maintaining safety standards for hazardous or fragile freight. Join us in delivering excellence on every mile!
