Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Truck Driver role based in New Albany, IN. The Truck Driver is responsible for safely loading, securing, and transporting precast concrete products, reinforced concrete pipe, and construction supplies to customer job sites and company locations. Daily tasks include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, operating commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations, following delivery schedules, and maintaining accurate delivery and mileage logs. The role involves coordinating with dispatch and yard personnel, assisting with material handling using appropriate equipment, and representing Dunn Utility Products professionally at customer locations. The Truck Driver is expected to follow all safety policies, keep equipment and work areas clean, and support operational needs as assigned. Qualifications Commercial driving competence, including a valid CDL (Class A or B as required), clean driving record, and experience operating heavy trucks or tractor-trailers. Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and safe load securement practices for heavy and oversized materials. Basic equipment and vehicle maintenance skills, including conducting routine inspections and reporting mechanical issues promptly. Physical ability to handle loading and unloading tasks, work outdoors in varying weather, and safely use material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes) with training or certification as needed. Strong time management and route planning skills to meet delivery schedules while maintaining safety and compliance. Clear and courteous communication skills for interacting with dispatch, yard staff, and customers, and for maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Attention to detail and reliability in following safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in construction materials, precast concrete, or related industries is a plus.
