The North Truck and Trailer Repair ShopPay: CA$40,000.00-CA$55,000.00 per year Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a minimum of TWO years experienced Truck Dispatcher who is skilled at booking loads, and communicating with drivers for efficient operations. The ideal candidate has experience in freight dispatching, strong negotiation skills, and knowledge of industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Source and book loads using load boards and broker relationships Negotiate freight rates to maximize profitability Dispatch drivers and provide clear load instructions Monitor drivers’ Hours of Service (HOS) compliance Track shipments and provide status updates to brokers/customers Minimize deadhead miles and optimize routes Handle detention, layovers, TONU, and accessorials Maintain accurate records and submit paperwork for billing Ensure compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations Qualifications Previous dispatching experience preferred (2+ years) Strong communication and negotiation skills Understanding of HOS regulations Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace Preferred Skills Experience working with owner-operators Knowledge of freight lanes and market rates Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Customer service experience Job Type: Full-time Benefits: On-site parking Paid time off Work Location: In person Pay: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Benefits: Casual dress On-site parking Paid time off Work Location: In person
