Truck Dispatcher

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Truck Dispatcher to coordinate the scheduling and routing of freight shipments. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage transportation operations, communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and vendors, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely deliveries. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in data entry, and the ability to analyze logistical data to optimize routes and improve overall supply chain efficiency. The Truck Dispatcher plays a vital role in maintaining smooth shipping and receiving operations within our logistics team. Responsibilities Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as AVAAL. Manage shipping & receiving schedules to ensure timely delivery and pickup of freight. Communicate with drivers, clients, and vendors via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette. Enter shipment data accurately into relevant systems, ensuring all information is up-to-date for tracking purposes. Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for route optimization and cost savings. Monitor freight movements and troubleshoot issues related to delays or discrepancies. Maintain organized records of shipments, delivery confirmations, and related documentation. Collaborate with supply chain teams to coordinate third-party logistics (3PL) activities as needed. Assist with shipping & receiving processes, including documentation and inventory management. Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and problem-solving skills. Qualifications Proven experience in transportation management systems such as AVAAL or similar platforms. Strong understanding of supply chain operations, freight logistics, and shipping & receiving procedures. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail. Analytical skills to interpret logistics data and optimize dispatch operations. Proficiency in typing and managing multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, Proficiency in speaking Hindi and Punjabi is required Effective communication skills for coordinating with drivers, clients, and internal teams. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of 3PL operations is a plus. Prior experience in freight or transportation dispatching is preferred but not required.
