Truck Dispatcher

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to coordinate the efficient movement of freight and manage daily transportation operations. Responsibilities Assign and schedule truck routes using transportation management systems (TMS) to optimize delivery efficiency Communicate clearly with drivers, clients, and warehouse staff via multi-line phone systems, ensuring smooth coordination of freight shipments Monitor shipment statuses, update shipping & receiving records, and track freight movements using systems like SyteLine and AS400 Manage shipping documentation accurately through data entry and analysis skills to support supply chain operations Address logistical issues promptly by analyzing data and providing solutions to improve freight flow and delivery times Maintain professional phone etiquette while handling inquiries related to shipments, schedules, or delays Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to coordinate freight pickups, deliveries, and returns Experience Proven experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) or similar logistics software Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including shipping & receiving procedures Familiarity with 3PL operations and freight management practices Proficiency in data entry, analysis skills, and using systems such as AS400 or SyteLine for shipping documentation and tracking Excellent communication skills with a professional phone etiquette approach in a multi-line phone environment Ability to perform accurate typing and maintain detailed records efficiently Prior experience in freight coordination or dispatching roles is highly desirable Join us to be part of a dedicated team that keeps goods moving seamlessly!
