Duties Safely operate tri-axle dump trucks and roll-off trucks adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight including heavy cargo, aggregates, soil Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes while adjusting for traffic or road conditions to meet delivery schedules. Manage logistics cargo handling by loading and unloading containers or debris using manual handling techniques and truck loading/unloading equipment. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, load weights Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times, route changes, or special handling instructions. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for tractor-trailer operation; experience with manual transmission preferred. Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with tri axle dump trucks or roll-off containers. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments during deliveries. Ability to handle manual tasks related to truck loading/unloading and cargo handling safely and efficiently. Strong driving record demonstrating safe driving habits Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
