We are seeking a Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Travel Specialist to support warehouse operations and projects at locations across the United States. This is more than a traditional warehouse position. In addition to shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory, and forklift responsibilities, this role will travel to different locations to support warehouse staffing needs, new warehouse setups, inventory organization, racking projects, and fluctuations in inbound and outbound volume. Extensive Travel Required Candidates must be comfortable with significant domestic travel. Travel is an essential part of this position. Expect to be traveling approximately 2 weeks or more per month on average , depending on project requirements. Individual projects may last 1 week, 2+ weeks, or longer . For projects lasting more than two weeks, team members are generally given the opportunity to return home every two weeks . Assignments may run Monday–Friday and can extend into weekends . Travel is most commonly to locations throughout the East Coast and West Coast . Most travel assignments are scheduled at least one month in advance ; however, occasional assignments may arise with as little as 24 hours' notice based on business needs. Travel requirements can vary significantly based on operational demands and project schedules, so flexibility is essential . Position Summary The Shipping & Receiving / Warehouse Travel Specialist reviews shipping orders using a tablet, verifies documentation, picks and pulls products, prepares orders for shipment, places products on pallets, and securely shrink-wraps completed pallets. The position is approximately 60% manual warehouse labor and up to 40% forklift/equipment operation , depending on operational needs. The successful candidate will also assist with warehouse organization, inventory, equipment, racking, and new warehouse setup projects. Schedule Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM Two Saturdays per month: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM Schedule and travel hours may vary based on business needs, operational demands, and project requirements. Weekend flexibility is required. Compensation $18.75–$21.75 per hour Non-exempt, hourly position Overtime paid at 1.5× the base hourly rate New hires typically earn approximately $61,000–$79,800 annually or more , depending on experience, overtime, and bonuses. Key Responsibilities Place products securely on pallets and shrink-wrap completed pallets. Read shipping orders and determine quantities and transportation requirements. Verify shipping documentation and maintain accurate records. Collect and route outbound freight documentation to the appropriate department. Pick orders and assemble various types of merchandise. Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with warehouse operations. Communicate with carrier representatives regarding loading instructions and requirements. Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment. Operate a sit-down forklift to load, unload, and safely stack materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Complete equipment checklists and assist with preventative maintenance. Assist with warehouse layout improvements, including rack assignments, floor striping, and location signage. Update system locations and reconcile physical materials with system records.
