Traveling Retail & Warehouse Manager Wandering Cowboys | Full-Time | Seasonal Travel Required About Wandering Cowboys Wandering Cowboys is a fast-growing western wear retailer with multiple locations throughout the San Antonio area. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking, and organized individual to manage warehouse operations and support our traveling retail team at rodeos, fairs, and major events across the country. This is a hands-on position combining warehouse management, inventory control, event logistics, physical labor, and retail sales. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, leads by example, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. Travel Requirements Travel throughout the United States from July through mid-October is required. This position involves extended time on the road, long event days, and schedules that may include weekends and overnight stays. Outside of the travel season, responsibilities will focus primarily on warehouse operations and event preparation. Key Responsibilities Warehouse & Inventory Management Receive, inspect, organize, and track incoming merchandise and shipments. Maintain accurate inventory counts and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged products. Prepare, price, tag, count, and pack merchandise for upcoming events. Organize warehouse inventory, fixtures, equipment, and supplies. Process returned merchandise and reconcile inventory following events. Traveling Retail & Event Operations Travel to rodeos, fairs, and other events throughout the United States. Load and unload merchandise, display fixtures, equipment, and supplies. Set up temporary retail booths from the ground up, including assembling fixtures, arranging merchandise, and creating attractive, shoppable displays. Break down booths after events, pack and secure merchandise and equipment, and prepare everything for transport and storage. Meet setup and breakdown deadlines while maintaining accurate inventory and organized equipment. Assist with retail sales, customer service, stocking, opening and closing procedures, and daily booth operations. Leadership & Accountability Take ownership of daily warehouse operations and assigned event responsibilities. Prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and solve problems independently. Communicate inventory needs and operational issues to leadership. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure events and warehouse operations run efficiently. Qualifications Strong work ethic, dependability, and a get-it-done attitude. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to travel throughout the United States during the required travel season. Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and varying schedules as needed. Ability to perform physical tasks, including repeated lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and assembling displays. Comfortable balancing warehouse work, event setup, and customer-facing retail sales. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous experience in retail, warehousing, inventory management, logistics, or event operations is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements & Work Environment This is an active, physically demanding position, not a desk-based management role. Responsibilities include prolonged standing and walking, repeated lifting and carrying, loading and unloading trailers or vehicles, assembling and moving fixtures, and working in warehouses and temporary indoor or outdoor event spaces.
