Location: Roswell, GA Job Type: Full-Time Pay: Starting at $21.00/hour, based on experience Expected Hours: 40–50 hours per week Travel: Approximately 25% – AL, SC, TN & FL CDL Class A + Strong Mechanic Experience? Put Both Skills to Work. Andrade’s Clean Up is looking for an experienced Traveling Fleet Mechanic to help keep our trucks and equipment safe, reliable, and on the road. Based out of our Roswell, GA shop , you’ll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, complete repairs, and travel to company locations throughout the Southeast when additional fleet support is needed. This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to diagnose problems, make effective repairs, and work independently . Because this position involves interstate travel and operating company vehicles, a valid CDL Class A and acceptable driving record are required . We provide the truck and travel support. You bring the mechanical expertise, CDL, and problem-solving skills. What You’ll Do Your priority is simple: keep our fleet safe, reliable, and moving. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain company trucks and equipment. Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, oil changes, scheduled services, brake repairs, and general mechanical maintenance. Diagnose and repair issues involving diesel engines, powertrains, air and hydraulic brake systems, suspension, steering, alignment, electrical systems, and hydraulic components . Use diagnostic tools, technical documentation, and schematics to identify mechanical and electrical problems. Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify potential issues before they lead to breakdowns or operational downtime. Travel approximately 25% to support company operations in Alabama, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. Safely operate a company-provided truck and trailer while transporting tools, parts, equipment, and materials. Assemble and disassemble mechanical components safely and efficiently. Perform emergency or field repairs when necessary. Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, preventive maintenance records, and repair documentation . Communicate vehicle conditions, repair needs, parts requirements, and preventive maintenance recommendations to the Maintenance Manager. Safely operate forklifts, trailers, and other shop or field equipment as needed. Work with mechanics, drivers, and operations teams to minimize equipment downtime. Perform welding or basic fabrication when needed. Maintain tools, work areas, and company equipment in safe and professional condition. Work independently while traveling and adapt to different shops, job sites, and operating environments. Required Qualifications Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and driving history that meets company and insurance requirements. Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles, trucks, and trailers. Professional experience performing mechanical repairs and maintenance. Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical problems. Working knowledge of diesel engines, brakes, suspension, steering, powertrains, and related vehicle systems. Experience performing preventive maintenance and vehicle inspections. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% , including interstate travel. Ability to commute to and work from our Roswell, GA 30075 location. Ability to read and follow repair procedures, technical documentation, schematics, and safety requirements. Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and manage responsibilities while traveling. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe, quality workmanship. English communication skills sufficient to safely perform the responsibilities of the position. Driving records will be reviewed as part of the hiring process.
