Transportation Warehouse Lead Hand

JBC Transport is seeking an experienced lead hand to join it's crossdock operations
In this role the successful candidate would work in support of the supervisor to maintain a process driven operation whilst directing a crew of forklift operators.

Requirements:
• Valid Forklift license with SCB experience
• 2 years experience in a supervisory based role
• LTL cross docking
• Outbound loading
• Transport weight regulations
• Google suite knowledge
• Be able to stand/walk for long periods of time
• A team mentality
• As400 experience is an asset
• Safety training is an asset
• Team oriented
Job description:
• Assist in running an efficient warehouse which is able to fulfill operational and customer demand while adhering to preset targets and schedules
• Ensure that lifting and maneuvering of all freight is carried out in accordance with handling procedures for safe and damage free shipments
• Directing and motivating operators
• Aiding in forklift duties
• Maintaining spreadsheets, email correspondence and equipment records
• Communicate with all operational teams
• Cover the supervisor during leave dates
• Training new operators
• Aiding in Maintaining the work yard and warehouse
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
