This is a hands-on transportation leadership position ideal for an experienced CDL Bus Driver, Bus Operator, Transportation Supervisor, Transit Supervisor, Dispatch Supervisor, Fleet Supervisor, Route Supervisor, Transportation Coordinator, Logistics Supervisor, or Military Transportation Professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. The Transit Supervisor helps oversee bus operators, dispatch operations, route coverage, scheduling, service reliability, employee performance, safety compliance, incident response, customer service, and daily transit operations . CLASS B CDL WITH PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT REQUIRED Applicants must possess a: Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement Transit Supervisors may be required to operate a transit bus, provide emergency route coverage, evaluate drivers, conduct field observations, respond to incidents, and support daily bus operations. Applicants without the required Class B CDL and Passenger Endorsement will not meet the minimum qualifications for this position. WHAT YOU’LL DO As a Transit Supervisor, you will help oversee the employees, vehicles, routes, schedules, and operational decisions required to keep public transportation operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. Primary responsibilities include: Supervise, coach, support, and evaluate bus operators and dispatch personnel Oversee daily fixed-route and passenger transportation operations Coordinate driver assignments, vehicle assignments, route coverage, and operating schedules Monitor route performance, schedule adherence, on-time performance, passenger service, delays, and disruptions Work closely with dispatch to address driver call-ins, staffing shortages, route coverage issues, and operational challenges Provide visible field supervision and support to CDL bus operators Conduct driver ride-alongs, performance observations, safety checks, and operational evaluations Monitor employee attendance, professionalism, customer service, performance, and compliance with operating procedures Respond to vehicle accidents, incidents, passenger complaints, safety concerns, service disruptions, and emergency situations Investigate and document accidents, incidents, complaints, and operational concerns Assist with employee coaching, retraining, corrective action, and performance improvement Maintain accurate attendance records, accident reports, incident reports, route documentation, operational logs, and required paperwork Communicate between management, dispatch, maintenance, drivers, supervisors, and frontline employees Coordinate with ma…
