GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION: 


The Transportation Specialist at Tatum Psychology Employment Group is responsible for providing a safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for clients, staff and materials as needed. The Transportation Specialist ensures compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of company vehicles.  The Transportation Specialist plays a vital role in client care by supporting timely arrivals, assisting passengers as needed, and adapting to dynamic schedules or routes. The Transportation Specialist will have excellent time management, professionalism, and a commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.  


Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

1. Safe Driving & Navigation  

  • Consistently demonstrate safe and responsible driving practices to ensure the well-being of all passengers and road users. 
  • Comply with all applicable state and federal traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.  
  • Navigate efficiently by accurately following assigned routes, maps, and GPS directions.  
  • Adapt to changing traffic conditions by executing timely rerouting to maintain punctuality and service reliability.  

2. Passenger Assistance 

  • Open vehicle doors and assist passengers when necessary  

3. Vehicle Loading & Unloading

  • Safely load and secure cargo, luggage, and equipment to prevent damage or shifting during transport.  
  • Efficiently manage the loading and unloading process to maintain schedule adherence and operational flow.  

4. Vehicle Cleanliness & Presentation

  • Maintain a clean and professional vehicle exterior to uphold company standards and positive public image.  
  • Keep the vehicle interior free of debris and clutter to provide a comfortable and hygienic environment for all occupants. 
  • Regularly clean windows, windshield, and mirrors to ensure clear visibility and safe driving conditions.  

5. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety

  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and perform basic maintenance tasks, including oil changes, fueling, and safety inspections, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.   

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Accurately complete required documentation such as trip logs, mileage records, and cargo or passenger reports to support compliance and operational tracking.   

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Performs other duties as may be assigned. 
  2. Follows and supports TPEG policies and procedures. 
  3. Works collaboratively and cooperatively with internal and external partners. 
  4. Represents TPEG, Inc., by embodying the mission, vision and values of the organization. 
  5. Travels occasionally during the workday and on occasional overnight stay. (Compensation for mileage, food and lodging provided.) 
  6. Maintains regular attendance at work and company activities and demonstrates punctuality regarding deadlines. 
  7. Displays creativity and vision in recommending new tactics and strategies. 
  8. Expands and updates job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional learning.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. EDUCATION: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. 
  2. LICENSURE: Valid Driver’s License  
  3. SKILLS: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
  4. OTHER EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED: 
  • Experience working with culturally diverse individuals and communities or have otherwise demonstrated a commitment to strengthening engagement of a diverse community and skill in communicating with diverse populations. 
  • Familiarity with equity and/or diversity initiatives within an organization. 
  • Written and oral communication skills sufficient to perform essential functions. 
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently and use initiative to accomplish complex assignments with general instruction and guidance. 
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment and integrity on the job with confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy. 
  • Demonstrated ability to organize time and other resources to perform multiple tasks. 
  • Demonstrated ability to complete work accurately and in a timely manner with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in word processing and database and/or spreadsheet applications.

  • Valid Driver's License / Clean Driving Record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  1. One (1) year of professional driving experience 
  2. Proficient in English Language 
  3. Proficient communicator 

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  1. Work settings vary from offices, program sites, and stakeholder locations 
  2. Travel modes can include the use of company or personal transportation
