The Hope Learning Center is searching for a Transportation Specialist to provide safe transportation for students in the morning and afternoon. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental delays
  • Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
  • Act 34 State Criminal History Clearance 
  • Act 114 FBI Clearance 
  • Act 168 Clearance
  • Mandated Reporter Training 
  • CPR/First Aid
  • Valid Pennsylvania Drivers License and clean driving record

Essential Duties and Responsibilities as a School Driver 

  • Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations 
  • Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle operation safety 
  • Assist students in the loading and unloading process safely 
  • Attend and participate in safety meetings 
  • Ensure bus cleanliness to maintain a professional appearance  
  • Comply with all state safety requirements 
  • Report any incidents or accidents immediately 
  • Conduct required bus safety and evacuation drills 
  • Respect the confidentiality of children, families, and staff at all times. 
  • Regular and timely attendance 
  • Assist with general building maintenance. 
  • Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by the Regional Education Director
