Transportation Specialist
MYCHN**Job Summary:** The Transportation Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing patient and visitor experiences within the health system. This position involves providing patient transportation and ensuring timely and accurate medication deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various responsibilities with professionalism and care. **Key Responsibilities:** **Valet Services:** Greet patients, visitors, and staff with a friendly and professional demeanor. Maintain a secure system for managing vehicle keys and a log of vehicles. Ensure the vehicle remains clean and safe for patients. Provide safe and courteous transportation for patients. **Medication Delivery:** Deliver medications following established protocols and schedules. Verify medication orders and patient information for accuracy. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and handle medications with care. Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and other personnel regarding medication delivery. **Customer Service:** Address inquiries and concerns professionally and empathetically. Provide clear directions and information about transportation expectations. Support patients and families with a positive attitude and responsiveness. **Duties and Responsibilities:** Couriers follow precise schedules, adjust driving according to traffic and weather conditions, and ensure timely stops. They must prioritize safety, assist passengers as needed, report issues, and maintain orderliness. Other duties may include guiding passengers and maintaining professionalism during commute time. **Required Skills/Abilities:** Excellent communication skills. Ability to meet physical requirements compliant with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Standards. Valid Texas Driver License, current auto insurance, and meeting organization's auto insurance standards. **Preferred Skills/Abilities:** Customer-service orientation. Attention to detail. Excellent driving skills. **Required Education and Experience:** High school diploma or GED. Minimum age of 25 for insurability. Acceptable motor vehicle record per background screening protocols. CPR and First Aid Certification. **Preferred Education and Experience:** Associate's degree. Driving experience with hospital, limousine, or taxi companies. **Supervisory Responsibilities:** None.
