Transportation Service Specialist
The Fountain GroupShift Information: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Onsite Position! Pay rate set at $24.80/hr! 12+ Month contract to start! This is a W2 Contract (No 1099/C2C), with a possibility of extension or conversion beyond the original duration based on performance & budget at that time. Job Description: Position is primarily responsible for managing daily outbound transportation activities, including assigning freight to carriers and coordinating shipments to meet customer delivery dates. Position will also be responsible for tracking deliveries, communicating with carriers, customers, manufacturing facilities and internal teams, and ensuring shipments arrive on time and damage free. Position will be in charge of troubleshooting transportation issues including late shipments, carrier/capacity challenges, delivery exceptions and changing priorities. Qualifications: 2+ years of transportation/logistics experience supporting outbound freight, load assignment, shipment tracking and carrier coordination is required! Experience working directly with carriers, manufacturing facilities, customer service teams and/or customers to support on-time deliveries is required! Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage shipment issues, changing priorities and delivery exceptions is required! Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, along with communication, organization and time-management skills is required! Manufacturing or distribution logistics experience is preferred! Experience with TMS, ERP/SAP, freight planning or carrier-management systems is preferred! #ZIP
