Transportation Service Coordinator

Job Summary Wheels Transportation is seeking an organized, dependable, and customer-focused Transportation Service Coordinator to help manage daily transportation activities and coordinate service requests. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with drivers, customers, and operations staff. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily transportation schedules, service requests, and trip assignments. Communicate with drivers regarding pickup times, destinations, route changes, and schedule updates. Respond to customer inquiries and provide accurate transportation information. Monitor scheduled trips and assist with addressing delays or unexpected changes. Help coordinate passenger pickups and drop-offs to support timely service. Maintain accurate trip records, schedules, and transportation documentation. Assist with dispatch activities and communicate important updates to relevant team members. Resolve routine scheduling and service issues in a professional manner. Support administrative tasks related to daily transportation operations. Follow company procedures and applicable transportation safety guidelines. Requirements and Qualifications Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling or dispatch systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize requests. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Professional attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in transportation coordination, dispatch, logistics, or customer service is preferred but not required. Work Environment This position involves coordinating with drivers, customers, and operations personnel in a fast-paced transportation environment.
