Job Summary Jefferson Transportation is seeking a reliable, organized, and customer-oriented Transportation Service Associate to support daily transportation operations and help deliver dependable service. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to coordinate transportation activities while maintaining professional relationships with customers, drivers, and team members. In this role, you will assist with transportation scheduling, customer inquiries, trip coordination, service documentation, and daily operational support. You will help ensure transportation requests are handled efficiently and service information is communicated accurately. Key Responsibilities Assist with coordinating daily transportation schedules and customer service requests. Help arrange vehicle assignments and driver schedules based on operational needs. Communicate pickup times, destinations, and trip instructions to drivers and customers. Provide courteous assistance with transportation inquiries and service information. Confirm trip details and update scheduling information when necessary. Communicate delays, cancellations, and schedule changes to the appropriate team members. Monitor scheduled transportation activities and report service concerns. Assist with coordinating alternative arrangements when unexpected changes occur. Maintain accurate records of trip assignments, customer requests, and completed services. Organize transportation documents, reports, and administrative records. Coordinate with dispatch personnel and drivers to support smooth daily operations. Report vehicle availability concerns and maintenance needs to supervisors. Follow company procedures and applicable transportation and passenger safety guidelines. Maintain professional communication and a customer-focused approach. Perform additional administrative and transportation support duties as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications Previous experience in transportation, logistics, dispatch, or customer service is preferred but not required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Friendly, professional, and customer-focused attitude. Attention to detail when handling schedules and transportation records. Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and data entry. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when required.
