Transportation Safety Manager

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Transportation Safety Manager to oversee and enhance safety protocols across our transportation operations. This role is vital in ensuring compliance with transportation safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety excellence. The Transportation Safety Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety standards that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. This position offers an opportunity to lead safety initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and collaborate with various teams to promote a safe working environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor transportation safety policies and procedures in accordance with applicable regulations. Ensure compliance with all transportation safety regulations through regular audits and inspections. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety hazards within transportation operations. Provide training and educational programs to drivers and staff on safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Investigate safety incidents or accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Stay updated on changes in transportation safety regulations and industry standards, ensuring organizational compliance. Collaborate with management, drivers, and regulatory agencies to promote a culture of safety awareness. Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, and compliance documentation. Skills Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and industry standards.
