We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Safety Data Analyst to assist with obtaining and reviewing police crash reports from jurisdictions nationwide. This position plays an important role in helping transportation companies understand crash events and improve safety outcomes.


Position Overview

The Transportation Safety Data Analyst is responsible for researching, obtaining, and reviewing police crash reports from local and state law enforcement agencies across the United States.


This role involves communicating with law enforcement agencies, verifying crash information against internal records, and assisting safety teams in evaluating crash preventability. The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.


Training is provided. Prior crash report experience is helpful but not required.


What You’ll Do


• Research and identify the law enforcement agency responsible for crash reports
• Request and obtain police crash reports from jurisdictions nationwide
• Communicate with police departments and government offices to retrieve documentation
• Review crash reports and verify details against internal records
• Analyze crash documentation to assist with preventability evaluation
• Maintain detailed records of report requests, communications, and follow-ups
• Enter and track crash information in internal databases and tracking systems
• Organize documentation using Microsoft 365 tools
• Monitor and update crash report request statuses to ensure timely follow-up
• Support internal safety teams with documentation and reporting

Preferred Qualifications


• Experience working with crash reports, transportation safety, insurance claims, or compliance programs
• Administrative, research, or data analysis experience
• Experience communicating with government agencies or law enforcement offices


Work Environment


• Full-time on-site position (not remote)
• Standard office environment
• Regular interaction with internal safety teams and external law enforcement agencies


Compensation & Benefits


Starting pay: $20.00 per hour
Full-time schedule (40 hours per week)
