Transportation Provider
Snoqualmie Indian TribeDescription Provide non-emergency medical transportation services for Snoqualmie Tribal members, Medicaid eligible clients, and community clients to support their healthcare appointments. Essential Duties Provide safe and timely transportation support for Snoqualmie Tribal members and Medicaid eligible community clients under the direction of the Transportation Manager. Operate small and large vehicles to ensure safe and timely transportation of passengers in a professional and courteous manner. Maintain all current standards of documentation for travel, mileage, expenditures, and related reporting requirements, within specific deadlines. Clean and sanitize Transportation Program vehicles according to the Transportation process in place. Notify Transportation Manager when program vehicles need repair or maintenance. Must be present, respectful, and participate in various Snoqualmie Indian Tribe culture events, trainings, and ceremonies. Work closely with parents, staff, and communities to help build healthy and positive relationships. Additional Duties Assist in program planning, transportation reporting, maintaining logs and Medicaid outreach and referral and/or interagency coordination related to Medicaid and non-Medicaid covered services. Participate in Health and Wellness program staff meetings and trainings as appropriate. Participate in continuing education activities as required and/or needed to fulfill job duties. Requirements Excellent customer service skills and written and verbal communication. Demonstrated ability to communicate with diverse populations in a courteous, helpful, and clearly understood manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and use tact and discretion. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Native cultures, history, traditions, and healing ceremonies strongly preferred Education & Experience Education Required: High School Diploma or GED Experience Seven or more years of driving experience required. Experience working in Native communities with families and parents strongly preferred. Certifications/Licenses Valid and unrestricted Washington State driver’s license required. Must have a qualified driving record. Current CPR/AED Training Certification. Other Requirements Must be able to pass a thorough pre-employment background investigation. Must agree to be subject to the Tribe's Controlled Substance and Alcohol Testing Policy to include pre-employment screening. Must be a minimum of 25 years of age or older. Upon hire, successfully complete and maintain all required trainings and certifications to include, but not limited to: defensive driving, fire suppression, passenger assistance, HIPPA, Cultural sensitivity, and child safety seat securement trainings (Hopelink). Work Environment The work environment is includes an office environment in a controlled atmosphere building. This position also includes frequent driving of a motor vehicle and transportation of clients to and from their homes and their appointments. Tribal Preference The Snoqualmie Indian Tribe follows the Tribal Hiring Preference as outlined in tribal policies, including the Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). TERO sets forth certain hiring preferences for qualified individuals who are enrolled in a federally recognized Indian tribe, as well as, in some cases, preference for certain family members of those individuals. Additional Information Hourly compensation will be determined based on experience and starts at $22.09 per hour. This position is a regular full-time position and employment is at will.
