About the Role: The Transportation Provider safely transports eligible Tribal Members to and from medical appointments, both locally and out of town, in accordance with established eligibility requirements and program guidelines. The position also performs other duties as assigned to support departmental and program goals. Key Responsibilities: Safely and compassionately transport eligible Tribal Members to non-emergency medical appointments and related services Provide transportation for Elder Services and other tribal functions as needed Operate and maintain vehicles safely, including routine cleaning, maintenance, and documentation Maintain a safe and professional environment for all passengers and promote proper safety practices Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with Tribal insurance requirements Coordinate transportation schedules and maintain an accurate appointment calendar Communicate effectively with the Manager of Elder Services regarding transportation needs and services Maintain strict confidentiality regarding passenger information, medical needs, records, and conversations Immediately report suspected abuse, neglect, or health and safety concerns to the appropriate authorities and Manager Provide information about Tribal resources and assist clients with accessing available services Perform other duties as assigned Core Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required One (1) year of related employment experience in the transportation field preferred Must possess certification of “Mandatory Reporter Training” or obtain certification during the first week of employment Must maintain current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain certification within ninety (90) days of the date of hire Must possess a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully Essential Competencies: Maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate integrity and professionalism Ability to safely sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 50 pounds Ability to load and unload wheelchairs and mobility equipment Strong organizational, communication, multitasking, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work independently, interact effectively with the public, and complete assignments Dependable, accountable, and committed to quality service Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Total Rewards Package: We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits program including: Medical, dental, vision, life insurance and voluntary benefits Paid time off and paid holidays Employee Assistance…
