XforiaJob Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transportation Permit Specialist to manage and facilitate transportation permits for complex infrastructure projects. In this vital role, you will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to transportation and construction activities. Your expertise will help streamline permit processes, interpret technical and regulatory documents, and coordinate with government agencies to support safe, efficient, and compliant project execution. Duties Review and interpret a wide range of technical drawings, environmental laws, building codes, zoning regulations, and local ordinances to determine permit requirements. Prepare comprehensive permit applications and supporting documentation in accordance with federal (such as OSHA and FDA regulations), state, and local standards. Coordinate with government agencies to obtain necessary permits for transportation, construction, environmental compliance, and public health initiatives. Ensure all projects adhere to construction regulations, environmental laws, building code analysis standards, and local building codes throughout the permitting process. Maintain detailed records of permit applications, compliance reports, regulatory submissions, and correspondence with authorities. Monitor ongoing project activities for compliance with environmental law and construction regulatory requirements; address violations promptly. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with project teams, government officials, contractors, and community stakeholders regarding permit status and requirements. Assist in report preparation and regulatory reporting to ensure transparency and accountability in all permitting activities. Skills Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, construction experience, FDA regulations, environmental law, zoning regulations, local building codes, and construction regulatory compliance. Excellent report writing skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare detailed documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for report preparation and data management. Experience managing compliance programs related to environmental compliance and public health initiatives. Familiarity with government agency processes for public permitting and understanding of local ordinances affecting construction projects. Ability to analyze building codes and zoning regulations to ensure project adherence; interpret complex legal documents accurately. Exceptional customer service skills coupled with strong administrative experience to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively. Knowledge of construction regulations specific to infrastructure projects; experience working within government agencies is highly desirable.
