Parks Avenue N., 20th floor Nashville, 37243 6 Months Responsibilities Review oversize and overweight permits for accuracy and completeness. Review oversize and overweight permits for routes and restrictions to ensure safe travel throughout the state. Review oversize and overweight permits to ensure compliance with current rules and laws. Provide customer support to commercial carriers requiring permit status and updates. Administer permits for oversized and overweight tractor-trailers, ensuring safe movement throughout the state in accordance with applicable requirements. Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree; OR Graduation from an accredited college with an associate degree plus two years of increasingly responsible experience; OR Education equivalent to graduation from a standard high school plus four years of increasingly responsible experience. Required Skills: Customer service experience. Desired Skills (Preferred Qualifications) Motor carrier permit registration experience. Analytical experience related to determining compliance with state and federal rules, regulations, or related standards. Experience with transportation or logistics operations, including freight movement and tracking, heavy haul, and permit purchasing. Data and systems experience. Experience with permit management and permit routing software. GIS tools experience.
