Transportation Operations Coordinator (Entry Level) About Us Mig, LLC is an independent agent for Greatwide Truckload Management, specializing in asset based trucking and brokerage solutions with an emphasis on the transportation of Hazardous Materials and liquid totes. We are growing and looking for an entry level Transportation Operations Coordinator to join our team and learn the day to day operations of a trucking and logistics business. This is a hands on position for someone who is organized, communicates well, learns quickly, and wants to build a career in transportation. Previous trucking or logistics experience is not required. You will work directly with drivers, customers, brokers, and our operations team while learning how freight is quoted, booked, dispatched, tracked, and delivered. What You’ll Do Assist with dispatching and supporting assigned drivers. Help find and book freight for company trucks. Communicate with drivers throughout the day regarding loads, pickups, deliveries, and schedule changes. Communicate with customers, brokers, shippers, and receivers to provide updates and resolve issues. Enter and maintain load information in our transportation management systems. Monitor shipments and driver progress using TMS and tracking tools. Help identify opportunities to keep trucks moving and reduce empty miles. Assist with sourcing outside carriers when needed. Learn how to evaluate freight rates and transportation costs. Help ensure required paperwork and transportation documentation is completed accurately. Learn and follow hazmat and other transportation compliance requirements. Identify operational problems and bring them to management's attention. Provide professional and responsive service to drivers and customers. Take on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow. What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, organized, motivated, willing to learn, and fits well with our team orientated company culture. Required: Bachelors Degree. Strong communication skills. Comfortable speaking with people on the phone. Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast paced environment. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Professional and positive attitude. We will train the right person on transportation operations, dispatching, TMS systems, freight, and hazmat requirements. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $40,000 - $42,000 depending on experience. Performance Based Bonus: Opportunity to earn additional compensation based on operational performance and profitability. Medical, Dental, and 401K Paid Time Off Full-time position Training provided Schedule Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Some flexibility may occasionally be required when operational issues arise.
