Transportation Operations Analyst

Position Overview Fortune Transportation is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Transportation Operations Analyst. This position will play an important role in supporting our customer relationships, coordinating daily transportation activities, and gathering information to assist with customer pricing and bid opportunities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with customers, analyzing information, staying organized, and communicating with multiple departments to keep things moving efficiently. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Coordination Communicate with customers regarding load scheduling, delivery requirements, and transportation needs. Schedule and coordinate shipper and receiver appointments. Maintain communication with customers, dispatch, and other internal departments. Monitor scheduled loads and assist with resolving scheduling conflicts. Ensure customer requirements and expectations are communicated accurately to operations. Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers. Data Analysis & Pricing Support Gather and organize historical freight data to support customer bids and pricing opportunities. Review previous shipment history, lane information, volumes, and transportation trends. Compile information for upcoming customer bids and RFP opportunities. Assist management with preparing customer quotes and evaluating potential freight opportunities. Maintain accurate records and reports to help identify trends and opportunities. Administrative & Operational Support Maintain accurate customer, lane, and shipment information. Assist with reporting and tracking customer activity. Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes and customer communication. Work closely with dispatch and management to support daily operations. Qualifications Strong organizational and communication skills. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, data, and computer systems. Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional customer service skills. Ability to work independently while being part of a team. Transportation or trucking industry experience preferred but not required. Experience with Microsoft Excel is a plus. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and takes pride in doing things right. This person needs to be comfortable communicating with customers, working through scheduling details, and handling information that helps the company make better business decisions. A background in trucking is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who has good communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work with numbers and details.
