Transportation Manager

Transportation Manager Location: Jacksonville, FL Position Summary The Transportation Manager will oversee vehicle operations, drivers, warehouse activities, and the movement of donated goods throughout the Goodwill system. This role is responsible for daily scheduling, driver supervision, warehouse organization, regulatory compliance, and maintaining safe and efficient transportation operations. Responsibilities Direct and monitor daily activities of truck drivers and transportation staff. Manage daily staffing and routing to ensure efficient movement of inventory, salvage, As-Is goods, and waste. Schedule and monitor driver activities and ensure daily routes and service requirements are completed. Recruit, interview, onboard, train, and supervise drivers and transportation employees. Drive commercial vehicles when needed and troubleshoot minor vehicle issues. Maintain required transportation, employee, and operational documentation. Ensure compliance with FMCSA/DOT regulations and company safety standards. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment. Monitor staffing, revenue, budgets, and financial performance against business objectives. Serve as a liaison between Goodwill operations and clients. Maintain high standards of service quality and operational efficiency. Travel to other store locations as needed. Support workplace diversity and inclusion initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Ideal Candidates Technical, Trade, or Vocational School degree OR 6+ years of management experience OR 4+ years of relevant functional experience . 3+ years of supervisory experience , preferably in waste management, logistics, or transportation. Valid CDL . Knowledge of FMCSA/DOT regulations, transportation safety, and minor truck maintenance . Ability to drive and train commercial vehicle operators. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
